Golfing Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival – Nairobi

On arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport you are met by our representative and taken to the Windsor Golf & Country Club to the North of the City. Arrive for check in and lunch. In the afternoon, play a round on the Windsor course. The course at the Windsor Golf and Country Club is undoubtedly the finest in Kenya, and is one of the best equipped on the African continent.

Day 2: Explore Nairobi

After breakfast depart to visit David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust which is a Kenyan wildlife conservation charity founded in 1977 in memory of David Sheldrick by his widow Daphne Sheldrick. It assists and advises the Kenya Wildlife Service and manages an orphanage for elephants and rhinos. One can also adopt an Elephant at a cost of USD 50 per year upon prior booking. It is open daily from 11.00 am to 12:00 noon. At this time you watch them being fed with children formulae milk.

Thereafter visit Giraffe Centre, which is the creation of a Kenyan conservation organization, the African Fund for Endangered Wildlife (AFEW). It was established in order to protect the endangered Rothschild giraffe, Giraffa camelopardalis rothschildi, which is found only in the grasslands of East Africa.

The main attraction for visitors is feeding giraffes from a raised observation platform. The centre is also home to several warthogs which freely roam the area along with the giraffes. They have three types of Giraffes: Reticulated Giraffe, Masai Giraffe and the Rothschild Giraffe.

You will then be transferred to Karen Blixen Restaurant for lunch before returning to your hotel for an afternoon of golf.

Day 3: Nairobi – Mount Kenya Safari Club

This morning after breakfast depart by road to the famous Mount Kenya Safari Club situated on the foothills of Mt. Kenya, bordering the Mt. Kenya National Park.
Mount Kenya Safari Club membership includes a host of movie stars, politicians and aristocrats. Here you can have a day of total relaxation in the splendid landscaped surroundings with magnificent views of majestic Mount Kenya.

Arrive in time for lunch and check in. Thereafter enjoy an afternoon of golfing at the equator at the scenic 9-hole manicured course; the only course bisected by the Equator in Africa.

Day 4: Explore Nanyuki

After breakfast, depart to explore the exotic Ol Pejeta Conservancy. The Ol Pejeta Conservancy and its sumptuous ranch were once the private domain of famed multi-millionaire, Adnan Kashoggi. Visit the Chimpanzee Sanctuary, a charming haven established by the Jane Goodall Institute to provide sanctuary to orphaned chimps, and the specially protected and fenced refuge of black rhino with its stunning forty specimens.

In fact the sanctuary boasts excellent game viewing with the highest ratio of game to area of any park or reserve in Kenya.
Return to your hotel for lunch and another exciting afternoon of golfing.

Day 5: Nanyuki – Naivasha

After your sumptuous breakfast, depart for the Great Rift Valley Lodge and Golf Resort. Enjoy the breathtaking scenery as you descend into the Great Rift Valley. The lodge and its 18 hole golf course is perched on a hill overlooking Lake Naivasha. The views are stunning. Lunch at the Lodge. Enjoy an afternoon of golfing.

Day 6: Naivasha – Lake Nakuru – Naivasha

After breakfast, depart for Nakuru to enjoy a morning game drive. Besides the flamingos that the lake is famous for, there are approx 400 other species of birds visiting the lake. Also, many species of game can be found in the park including the introduced Rothschild’s giraffe, black and white rhino, waterbuck, reedbuck, lion, buffalo, leopard, baboon and many species of plains game.

Return to your Lodge for an afternoon of golfing.

Day 7: Naivasha – Vipingo

Enjoy a leisurely breakfast and checkout. Drive back to Nairobi where you will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Vipingo Ridge via Diani Airstrip. Upon arrival a taxi will be waiting for you to drive you to Vipingo Ridge.

After check-in‚ you can enjoy the rest of the afternoon‚ relaxing by the side of the swimming pool, or golfing.

Day 8: Enjoy Vipingo Ridge x 2

After breakfast at your luxury villa, spend the day at your own leisure with variety of activities to enjoy.

Activities include playing golf‚ playing a game of tennis‚ horse riding‚ mountain biking‚ bird watching‚ sailing or croquet.

You could also visit Kuruwitu Marine Park located only 10 km’s away from Vipingo Ridge and enjoy snorkeling safaris and glass-bottomed boat trips to reef walks, fishing and private dhow charters.

Other activities that one can enjoy include visiting Haller Park, Wild Waters Park in Nyali, Wild Water Sports situated at Mnarani Club on Kilifi Creek, visit Gedi Ruins close to Malindi, and Arabuko-Sokoke forest for nature walks.

You can also spend your day at the Beach club‚ exclusively open to Vipingo Ridge members and guests. Located 10 km’s from the hotel‚ enjoy a relaxing day away on a secluded beach with friends and family.

If you are feeling more active‚ you can take part in beach activities such as a beach volley game.

Day 9: Depart

Enjoy a leisurely breakfast and checkout. Later depart by air from Vipingo to Nairobi. On arrival you will be transferred to JKIA for your flight back home.
